Dr. Larry Ludlow is Professor and Chair of the Department of Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment at Boston College. He did his doctoral work at the University of Chicago under the direction of Professor BD Wright—and was recently awarded the Benjamin Drake Wright Senior Scholar award for contributions to Rasch measurement theory. One of those contributions, Rasch/Guttman Scenarios scales, is the foundation for some of the assessments used in Dr. Millner’s MHIA Research Lab.

In addition to teaching courses in applied statistics and psychometrics, his consulting collaborations include the U.S. Department of Education; University of Auckland, New Zealand; Dublin City College, Ireland; Pontifica Universidad Catolica De Chile, Chile; Higher School of Economics, Russia; and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

 

He enjoys playing softball, taking long-distance train and motorcycle rides, and sketching

interesting architectural structures.
