Sarah Satgunam

Sarah is an independently licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) and a Research Associate in the MHIA lab. She has served as a field education supervisor, trainer, curriculum developer, and clinician with a focus on career guidance and supported education for individuals experiencing mental health-related work or school interruptions. 

Sarah has participated in the development and delivery of supported education programs including VITAL (Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership - Bedford VA Hospital) and Niteo (Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation). She has also led the development and delivery of career education and guidance programming including Opening Doors and FastTrack (Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation) and Career Studio (a course offering at Lesley University). Most recently, Sarah served as a HYPE (Helping Youth on the Path to Employment) facilitator for the UMASS Medical School Transitions to Adulthood Center for Research. Sarah holds an MSW from Boston University and a BA from New York University.
