Tracy S. Woods
Peer Consultant
Tracy is a Massachusetts Certified Peer Specialist, a COAPS (Certified older adult peer specialist), and a recovery coach. She has contributed as both a student and an instructor at the BU Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation’s Recovery Education Program since 2007. Tracy has taught for the center’s research division and served as a research assistant on multiple projects related to community integration of individuals with psychiatric disabilities. In particular, she has taught Photovoice, as a strategy for empowerment.
At present, Tracy works For Lesley University as a peer consultant and research assistant for the Mental Health Identity and Adaptability Research Lab. Tracy’s 15-year-old deaf 4lb Chihuahua occupies her lap whenever she is seated. Tracy is teaching herself to paint with watercolor. She also enjoys strumming her guitar.
